Cover Reveal – Black Hand of Sangerie

Last year I was honoured to help with the cover reveal of T. Olsen’s eldritch-meets-thievery fantasy, Shadows of Oldtown, and today I’m doubly honoured to help reveal the cover to its sequel, Black Hand of Sangarie!

Blurb

Five years ago Gray stole a magic stone from the shadow-infested ruins of Sangarie. Now the elf who fought beside him has returned to warn him of the impending catastrophe–and to make sure the future happens as it should.

The Night of Shadows is less than two weeks away, and it will usher in the end of Sangarie. The vision granted to Gray in the labyrinth revealed he’ll be the one who holds the stone aloft and calls down destruction on the city, but he’s not willing to accept that. While the elf works to figure out how to make the Night of Shadows happen as it needs to, Gray scrambles to find a way to save not only the people he cares about, but everyone in the city.

A darkness inside the stone watches through the shadows, waiting to be released, and a deadly game of secrets is playing out on the streets. Time is running out and the city seems doomed, but Gray is a thief and a cheat, and if anyone can trick fate, he can.

T. Olsen’s Linktree

Photo of T. Olsen, a pretty white woman with short, strawberry blond hair and an amazing black, wide-brimmed hat with mushrooms and moons on its underside. She's sitting in a car and is wearing a cozy-looking white, grey, and green sweater. She has glasses.

T. Olsen (she/her) is the weird lady in Small Town USA who wears pajamas to the grocery store to buy cake. She’s always been drawn to the stories in her head, and spends most of her time with one foot in the real world and one foot in her own worlds. She finally built her dream house and lives there with her husband, where swords feature prominently in the interior decor and she has her witchy medieval themed kitchen.

Steve Hugh Westenra

Steve is a trans author of fantasy, science fiction, and horror (basically, if it’s weird he writes it). He grew up on the eldritch shores of Newfoundland, Canada, and currently lives and works in (the slightly less eldritch) Montreal. He holds advanced degrees in Russian Literature, Medieval Studies, and Religious Studies. As a reader, Steve’s tastes are eclectic. He enjoys anything that could be called speculative, including fantasy, sci-fi, and horror, but has been known to enjoy a good mystery as well as literary fiction. He’s always excited to try something new or that pushes boundaries, particularly from marginalized authors. Steve is passionate about queer representation, Late Antiquity, and spiders.
