Coming May 27th, 2025: Parasitic Omens
“Elegantly crafted and deliciously dark, this first installment in the Gods of Dallalmar world will leave you craving more” – Anna Stephens, author of Godblind and The Songs of the Drowned.”
We’re big fans of Jessica A. McMinn over here on Before We Go Blog, so I am beyond excited to help with the cover reveal for her brand-new upcoming novella: Parasitic Omens.
This novella is going to soft launch the project to come after McMinn’s grimdark fantasy Gardens of War and Wastelands series, and I couldn’t be more excited for it.
I mean, hear me out: a gaslamp fantasy horror pitched as Supernatural x The Witcher x Bloodborne. SAY LESS, PLEASE!
Still, if for some reason that elevator pitch didn’t immediately sell you already, then just let this irresitibly intriguing blurb pull you in.
As one of Copperton’s hardworking investigators, Lawrence Reed has seen it all: vampires, werewolves, warlocks and witches.
When a monstrous creature crawls from the corpse of a mutilated girl, Law is determined to find answers—with or without payment.
Ignoring advice to leave the mystery alone, he sets out to uncover the details of the girl’s death.
The deeper he digs, the more questions he unearths. Can Law bring peace to the dead girl’s family? Or will his investigation open the door to far darker discoveries?
Only one certainty remains: monsters aren’t the only evil stalking the streets of Copperton.
Honestly, the mystery and intrigue are to die for! And naturally, a story with such a strong premise deserves one hell of an alluring cover as well, so let’s just stop stalling and cut to the fun in 3, 2, 1….
