Secret Life of a Book Blogger

A little getting to know me tag. Who is the person behind the fist tattoos?

Okay, this is a get-to-know-you type tag, so here we go. The rules are pretty much just to answer the questions.
  1. How long have you been blogging? I have been actively blogging for the last year. I have had an inactive blog for a few years, but I got going with reviews just this last year.
  2. At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?
Currently I don’t see me stopping with blogging any time in the near future. But if at some time blogging became more of a chore than I would probably stop.
  3. What is the best thing about blogging? The Community of people discussing our favorite things, books is the best thing ever.
  4. What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay? Trying to get all the reviewing and reading done. I don’t want it to feel like a hassle or a huge stressor in my life.
  5. How long does it take you to make/find pictures to use?I subscribe to a service that has a lot of fantastic images called Envato. I get most of my images from there or goodreads. I have templates created and use photoshop for all my stucom stuff.
  6. Who is your book crush?Harry Dresden. I love a good snark.
  7. What author would you like to have on your blog? I would kill to interview Myke Cole, or Seanan McGuire. Two authors I like and respect.
  8. What do you wear when you write blog posts? My uniform. Yoga Pants. I feel like such a suburban mom although I wore a hole in my Uggs last year.
  9. How long does it take you to prepare?Sometimes not much time at all, sometimes I am thinking about something for weeks and it takes me a bit to get the words out.
  10. How do you feel about the blogging community? I love all the supportive people. Makes this so much fun.
  11. What do you think one should do to create a successful blog?
Repetition and work ethic. Blogs take work, so much freaking work. But there is quite a lot of payoff when you connect with people.
So there you go! I love tags, both making and reading. It gives people a chance to see past the internet to the person beneath. As far as who I am tagging. Anyone who would love to do it! No pressure!
