Design With Nature by Ian L. McHarg
A long time ago I worked as a landscape architect. One of the books that stuck with me during design school was Ian L. Mcharg’s Design With Nature. One of the lessons taught to us is a connection and understanding of the land. Landscape Architecture is not to crush and own nature through your design, but to work with natural processes and systems to make a harmonious relationship that will last between your design and natural systems. There is a reason this book is a classic.
